A few months after graduation I got in to my first band as a trio called Blue Ash. We played at the Cape Ann Marina in Gloucester, a lot in North Conway, various parties in Mass and New Hampshire. I went solo in 1978. Played at the Cask and Flagon all the time in Boston, Copper fields, Ciazos Pub in Malden, Colleges in Massachusetts like Simmons, Emmanuel College, and Wheelock College. BU, Harvard University, University Of Massachusetts in Amherst, Ma, North Adams State College and down on Cape Cod at a lot of the restaurants and bars in the summer time, and Colleges all over New England like: New Hampshire College, Rivier College, Keene State College, Bentley College, Worcester State College, Bryant College in Rhode Island, University Of Maine @Farmington, Pine Manor and Endicott College in Beverly. Too many more colleges to continue listing on this web page.
I have been playing wedding receptions and all the other parties for over 25 years. I played full 200-300 people receptions with just my acoustic/ electric ovation guitar, five speakers in front of me spread the length of the stage and my hand written 3 ring binder music book that has 300 pages of hand written songs in it, singing and playing guitar, filling the dance floor with people and singing 4 hours straight without a break at each reception! Those jobs were marasongs (get it- marasongs) I didn’t need CD’s, Props, or other gimmicks to get them dancing. My own passion of music combined with my singing and guitar did that.
